New aid collection campaign for Valencia
At Reciclajes y Metales Pérez, we once again demonstrate our commitment to the community in challenging times by launching a second solidarity collection campaign following the devastating floods in the Valencian Community. We have set up a collection point at our facilities in Palma with the aim of sending essential supplies to the affected areas.
This time, the campaign focuses on gathering specific items to meet the urgent needs of those impacted by the floods, as well as for the rescue and support teams working on the ground. The requested items include:
- Cleaning and work equipment: shovels, dustpans, hard brooms, buckets, gloves, XXL garbage bags, and tools.
- Medical and emergency supplies: masks, first aid kits, basic medications like ibuprofen and paracetamol, as well as portable batteries and walkie-talkies.
- Aid for children and people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder): sensory materials, communication systems with pictograms, noise-canceling headphones, toys, weighted blankets, and hygiene products for babies.
- Food and supplies for people with specific dietary needs, such as gluten-free and lactose-free products, along with canned food and baby formula.
The collection will take place at Reciclajes y Metales Pérez’s headquarters in Polígono Son Castelló on Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, with extended hours to facilitate donations. After the collection, the company team will send the products in their trucks to Valencia, ensuring that the aid reaches the affected areas promptly and efficiently.
Through this initiative, Reciclajes y Metales Pérez responds to the community’s call for help in emergency situations. Thanks to the solidarity of our clients and collaborators, we hope to gather substantial resources to help ease the hardships of those affected by this natural disaster.
For those interested in contributing, the collection point is located at Carrer Gremi Sabaters 62, Palma.
